Who Pays For It
There is a monthly fee to be in the practice (please reference my formal contract.) This allows me to provide many services not covered by insurance and enables me to be responsive to my patients needs, spending the time necessary to resolve the issue.
I also bill Medicare for my visits and services that are covered. Medicare deductibles and remaining fees not covered by supplemental insurance are ultimately the responsibility of the patient, as is true in any practice.
Open Payments Database
The Open Payments database is a federal tool used to search payments made by drug and device companies to physicians and teaching hospitals.

For informational purposes only, a link to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Open Payments web page is provided above. The federal Physician Payments Sunshine Act requires that detailed information about payment and other payments of value worth over ten dollars ($10) from manufacturers of drugs, medical devices, and biologics to physicians and teaching hospitals be made available to the public.
